Meet B. B. Cockrell

BB Cockrell photoB. B. Cockrell is the author of a quartet of novels set in varied times and locations during World War II.  The Spy Who Lived on Zimmerstrasse, The Picardy Alliance, Elephant Mountain, and The Coast House, in progress, focus on individuals trapped within the chaos of war.

She wrote her first novel between the hours of three and six in the morning as she had three small children, a full time job, and it was the only free time in her day. That book landed her an agent, and her first three novels were published.

After living in Texas, Missouri, Wisconsin, California, North Carolina, and Colorado, Cockrell has settled in the Ozark Mountains, where she writes her World War II novels. She not only writes but assists aspiring writers. She was a popular and appreciated fiction instructor at Writer’s Digest School.

She shares her home with 4 dogs, 3 cats, and a library of World War II research material.
